My original Pinterest pins come from:

So I started off with setting out a few items that were easy to pick up and handle herself.

Here is Princess Peanut – she touched it straight away. It’s sticky!

With a bit of encouragement Princess Peanut started to put the pompoms on and off.

Then added some straws – also putting them on and off. In the end she decided she didn’t want anything left on there.

The inspiration for the second part of our activity came from..

I gave Princess Peanut some stickers and asked her to stick each one on a different part of her body. She is just learning the different parts – exciting times!

We were a little off with our knee!

We then switched to sticking stickers on the paper. Which was great fun, until Princess Peanut wanted to take them on and off. BUT – my mother and I came up with ingenious idea…..a laminated sheet! We’ve since tried it out and it works wonders…especially with those thick, puffy stickers.

Verdict: great, but quick with Princess Peanut’s concentration! She absolutely is obsessed with stickers at the moment – it is one of her favourite words!

Adaptions: as I mentioned above, the laminated sheet works perfectly for Princess Peanut as she likes to take the stickers off. She also likes to stick stickers on Mumma and Dadda too, so I can see an easy progression for her to use the name of the body parts, at the moment I am modelling for her “ooh you stuck the sticker on my arm”.

Until next time!
