Activity 25: Water jug

28 Sep

The original Pinterest inspiration has come from here: a journey to dream

I decided to try doing this with my small handheld drill, instead of using a heated needle (thought it might be safer to do as Princess Peanut was up and about when I was making this). It turned out a little messier, but was quick and easy.

As I wanted Princess Peanut to use this independently I wanted a jug with a handle that was easy for her to lift and use. One of our friends from our Playgroup had the brilliant suggestion of a Pancake shaker! When I was at Woolies I even found a mini one. I bought both sizes, but for this post I used the mini one.

I started off with less holes than this, but the water didn’t flow. So I added holes, although it’s still not perfect.

This is so much fun Teacher Mumma, I want to do this every day (and don’t worry Mumma I will remind you every day!).

I’m pretty sure this big one is the same, maybe I should try filling this one up!

Adaptions: I think I will try putting the holes closer together in the next one.

Verdict: It is great! Was quick and easy to make (and we got to have pancakes!). Princess Peanut asks to go out every day to water the herbs and the other plants too! She thinks it is great fun!!
